The structure for On the Quiet Path came through in a dream.
As a therapist specializing in trauma and grief, I originally thought that it would be the name of a support group for women walking through pain and loss.
I created this website, set the time, and advertised it to no one. I was quietly relieved when no one signed up. I was grieving the loss of my husband at the time, and my cup was full.
In 2026, I found myself raising a teenager. If you know anything about teenagers in 2026, you’ll know about their interest in TikTok. Naturally, I created an account to keep an eye on them.
One day in June, I found myself casually posting videos from my garden to the TikTok account. Within two weeks, there were 700 people there to join me. I found myself enjoying it quite a lot.
I’ve been working on a series of books, meant as gifts for weary travelers, for a few years now. I have touched the depths of grief and pain. I know the need for gentle companions in those times.
On the Quiet Path has become the container for those companions.
Welcome.
